Everett Taasevigen was born in Redwood City, California. He first picked up a Kodak 110 film cartridge camera when he was 13 years old, beginning a lifelong interest in photography. Everett is interested in documenting the traces of time. Reminding us of the fleeting moments of beauty all around us everyday. Whether it's photographing coffee filters, saltshakers, storm clouds, or documenting found money in the streets.
Taasevigen attended San Jose State University, earning a BFA in Spatial Arts.
He served as the chief photographer for Zer01 Biennial, San Jose, California 2006, 2008, 2010. He has photographed for Survival Research Labs, Childrens Museum of Houston, New Tech Global, Sugar Hill Recording Studio, Glasstire, Stan & Lou Advertising, PaperCity Magazine (Houston), The Intuitive Eye, Acme Fish Advertising, Ell Advertising, Idea Advertising, AVP Marketing + Creative, Bird House Productions, The Art Guys, The Menil, The Museum of Fine Art Houston, and The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau.
